Back in
Boston, Massachusetts, at the special private gym owned by Angelica Jones
herself, we see the self-named and self-made woman, The Dragon of The
Sisterhood, Angelica Jones sitting on the edge of a wrestling ring. A few feet away she watches as her younger
sibling, the other half of the Sisterhood, Kayla Jones, laces into a heavy bag
that dangles from the ceiling.
The concrete floor is gray and the
walls are painted an off-white color, at least the walls that still have paint
on them, as most of the paint on the walls have begun to peel. There is a standard wrestling set up in the
center, weights scattered all over the floor.
At one of the far ends of the room is a red heavy bag. In the background we see a standard wrestling
ring. The ring has black ropes and a
black apron but the mat is a Carolina sky blue.
Breakdown is
coming up and Kayla Jones will be competing against Tyler Tucker of Adrenaline
Rush. Truth be told, this is exactly
where she and Angelica have wanted to be for a long time. They wanted to be squarely in the tag team
division, they wanted to be active participants in the movement to revitalize
tag team wrestling, not just in Supreme Championship Wrestling but in
professional wrestling in general. Kayla
was sidetracked with the United States Championship, Television Championship,
and the Best of the Best Tournament. Angelica
was sidetracked with the Shot of Adrenaline Tournament and the Best of the Best
Tournament.
Now the
distractions are all but over and Kayla and Angelica are not just back in the
tag team scene but they finally have their guaranteed shot at the world tag
team titles, by virtue of their win over the champions this past
Breakdown. A date with Autumn and Gable
is now in the Sisterhood’s future, but before they can think about that, they
have to deal with Adrenaline Rush.
The
Sisterhood has unfinished business with Adrenaline Rush and their friend Stacy
Kissinger. They want some of Angelica
and Kayla and that’s fine, The Sisterhood will gladly oblige. And this coming Wednesday on Breakdown Kayla
Jones will go one on one with Tyler Tucker of Adrenaline Rush.
And there’s
no one better to prepare Kayla for this match than her older sister Angelica.
Angelica
Jones is a thirteen time world champion and a member of three separate
professional wrestling halls of fame.
Angelica has competed on the grand stage before on many occasions. Angelica has battled many types of
competitors, from brutal violent hardcore grapplers, submission artists, high
flyers, to all rounders, Angelica Jones knows how to do it all inside of the
squared circle. If anyone can prepare
Kayla for Tyler Tucker, it will be Angelica.
This is a
match Kayla feels as if she needs to win.
She and Angelica want to finish this business with Adrenaline Rush and
Stacy Kissinger once and for all. She
does not want to give them any excuse to keep in their business and a victory
over Kayla or Angelica individually would give the Adrenaline Rush members
reason to continue hounding and harassing The Sisterhood. Angelica and Kayla, after all, could be the
next SCW World Tag Team Champions. But
if Kayla loses here and now to Tyler Tucker, then this may bring about a title
defense in the future against Adrenaline Rush.
Not that
Kayla has anything against facing them as many times as she has to. Ultimately, at the end of the day, she’ll do
whatever she has to do for the best of the team, but if she can get rid of
Adrenaline Rush right here and right now on Breakdown by defeating Tyler Tucker
then she’ll do it.
“Harder!
Harder!”
Angelica
exclaims as she watches her sister continues to pound away.
“Picture Tucker! Yeah!
Picture your opponents as you lay into that bag!”
Kayla nods
her head as she continues to throw hands.
A few moments later Angelica hops up off of the ring apron and approaches
her younger sibling.
“Ok, stop.”
The younger
Jones does as she is told and stands there, catching her breath as she waits on
her next instructions. Angelica points
to a bar with weights attached.
“Lift the weights.”
“How many?”
“Just until I say stop.”
Jones kneels
down and picks up the bar. Then she
begins to lift, up and down, up and down; Angelica smiles with pride as she
watches her sister and tag team partner perform as instructed.
“Good.
Very good.”
After about
twenty reps, Kayla puts the bar down.
Angelica frowns.
“Did I say you could stop? Keep going.”
“Not right now.”
Kayla states
in between deep breaths.
“I just need to…”
“Need to what?”
Angelica asks,
sounding rather frustrated.
“Do you need to rest? I hope that’s not it because you can be damn
sure Tyler Tucker won’t let you rest.”
Kayla nods
her head.
“I know.”
“Do you?”
Angelica
places her hands on Kayla’s shoulders.
“We need this win, sis. The Sisterhood needs this. We built up a lot of good momentum by beating
Autumn and Gable. We cannot afford for
you to squander it by losing to Tyler Tucker.”
Kayla
smirks.
“Kind of like how YOU lost to him in the
Shot of Adrenaline Tournament?”
Angelica
blushes embarrassingly.
“That’s different…”
“How is it any different? I mean, you lost by disqualification but that’s
it. He didn’t pin you or make you submit. But he still beat you.”
Kayla shakes
her head.
“It’s no different, sis. It’s no different whatsoever.”
“Fine, then avenge my loss!”
Kayla
chuckles lightly.
“This isn’t about avenging a loss, either
and you know that just as well as I do.”
Angelica
sighs and nods her head. She steps away
and lets Kayla go back to work on the bag.
Kayla switches from the fists to the feet as she begins working her
martial arts kicking skills against the heavy bag. Even Angelica can’t help but look on rather
impressed at what her sister is managing to produce here today.
“Aunt Kayla!”
Kayla stops
what she’s doing and turns to the direction of the voice. A grin spreads across Angelica’s face as she
acknowledges the visitor. Wearing a
royal blue dress with a hemline that stops just below the knee is none other
than Angelica’s daughter, Kayla’s niece Corey Jones.
“Corey!”
Kayla
approaches Corey and embraces her with a hug.
After breaking the hug Kayla gazes down at her niece and smiles.
“What are you doing here?”
“There’s nothing wrong with wanting to watch
my favorite aunt train for her match, is there?”
Kayla tilts
her head to one side and smirks.
“Oh so I’m your favorite aunt now, am I?”
Corey
shrugs.
“Look at my options!”
“True…”
Angelica
steps in between Kayla and Corey.
“This is a surprise. I thought you didn’t want anything to do with
us.”
Corey sighs
and nods her head.
“You’re right, I didn’t, but what you said
and what you did these past few Breakdowns, the way you’ve turned yourselves
around…”
Corey nods.
“…well I’m proud of you guys.”

On Camera
==========
The camera
feed begins to roll. We are outside in
the bright sun when Kayla Jones steps into the scene from stage left. The redhead is wearing a black long sleeve
sweater, a knee length black ostrich feather skirt, and her feet are
comfortably encased in black high heeled pumps with a sling back. Her long red hair hangs unrestrained to
shoulder length. Jones steps to the
center and then turns to face the camera.
A confident gaze is etched across her lovely features.
“Me and Angelica have been telling you for
weeks on end now that The Sisterhood is not just serious but we are deadly
serious. We have been telling you for
quite awhile now that the games and the jokes are over and that we are
recommitting ourselves to this sport, to Supreme Championship Wrestling, and to
the tag team division. We have been
telling you that we are dedicated to once again becoming SCW World Tag Team Champions. But did anyone believe us?”
She shakes
her head.
“No, no one believed us. No one thought we had seriously dropped the
games. But then again, we brought a lot
of that on ourselves didn’t we? I mean,
me and Angelica were the one who brought in Taco and Bell, we were the ones who
started the Free Botswana bullshit, that was all on us and you have every right
to doubt us and to doubt our sincerity.”
Kayla
smirks.
“Actions speak louder than words and it will
be the actions of The Sisterhood that force the SCW tag team division to sit up
and take notice and take us seriously once again. And this past Wednesday on Breakdown, we
defeated Gable Winchester and Autumn Valentine.
We defeated the SCW world tag team champions.”
She pats
herself on the chest.
“So do you believe us now? Are you ready to take us serious now? The tag team division in SCW has been put on
notice. Autumn and Gable couldn’t accept
the fact that we had changed, that we were a force to be taken seriously, and
you saw what happened to them.”
She taps her
right leg.
“I kicked Gable’s teeth down his
throat. Now all Angelica and I need is
just one shot.”
She holds up
one finger.
“One opportunity is all we need at the tag
titles and we will defeat them again, for a second straight time, and then we
will be two time SCW World Tag Team Champions.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
There are still other teams and other individuals out there who want a
piece of the Sisterhood, who perhaps, like Gable and Autumn, are not prepared
to accept the fact that The Sisterhood is back and badder than ever.”
“Badder is not a word.”
Kayla rolls
her eyes as she hears her older sister’s voice.
“I know that, Angel. It’s just a figure of speech!”
“Oh.”
Kayla sighs.
“Anyway, we are back and we are back to
basics, we are back to doing what we do best and that’s simply kicking ass
inside that squared circle. Autumn
Valentine and Gable Winchester learned that first hand this past Breakdown but
apparently the team known as Adrenaline Rush doesn’t believe us.”
Jones shakes
her head.
“Craig Thomas and Tyler Tucker, you boys do
not believe us and you have to see it for yourselves. You have to experience The Sisterhood
firsthand.”
Kayla laughs
lightly.
“It’s funny, because it seems that, no
matter what, no matter where, no matter how, The Sisterhood and Adrenaline Rush
always find themselves in each other’s company.
When we were the champions we fought.
We continued to fight even after we lost the titles. I even managed to get into a bit of a
struggle with your friend Stacy Kissinger.”
She tilts
her head to one side.
“Stacy…I still owe you that rematch I
promised you. Name the time and place
and we’ll settle it once and for all.”
She points a
finger at the camera.
“But this is about you, Tyler…you’re the one
who stepped up to the plate to face me.
Sisterhood against Adrenaline Rush, part four or part five or
whatever. Point is, we have done this
many times, Tucker. Our respective teams
are no strangers to one another and if it comes down to it, if we become SCW
World Tag Team Champions again, we’ll gladly defend the belts against you and
Craig. But for now, for purposes of this
match between you and me on Breakdown, I have a suggestion.”
She shakes
her head.
“Let’s drop the animosity. A good professional rivalry is usually good
for a tag team division to flourish and that’s what The Sisterhood wants. We want to build back up tag team wrestling
in this sport, not just here in SCW.
That’s all we’ve ever wanted.
Maybe we went about it the wrong way…”
“That point is arguable.”
Kayla turns
her head to the right, glaring off screen at the direction of the voice of her
older sister.
“Shut up, Angelica!”
“Sorry.”
Kayla rolls
her eyes.
“…look, we admit we went about certain
things the wrong way. We admit that.”
“Speak for yourself.”
Kayla ignores
her.
“Point is, we do admit our mistakes and we
admit we haven’t done anything to benefit tag team wrestling. But we’re ready to change that right here and
now and it starts with The Sisterhood and Adrenaline Rush.”
She holds up
one finger.
“Just for starters we have Money In The Bank…Lexi
Von Aaron, Chanel Hunter, and Lenore Price Mason.”
She holds up
a second finger.
“And in a direct response to them we now
have Honor Code…Shaun Cruze and AJ Helms.”
She smirks.
“Now I don’t know about you boys, but I’m
not about to just sit back and let them shape tag team wrestling in their
image. This coming Breakdown is an
opportunity for the two of us, Tyler, to serve notice to anyone bothering to
pay attention that exciting, high energy tag teams like The Sisterhood and
Adrenaline Rush still OWN this tag team division!”
She shakes
her head.
“But I’m not going to let up on you. You’re going to get the best from Kayla Jones
and I expect the same out of you. I want
the best from Tyler Tucker. I want the
two of us to put on a show for the fans and for the guys in the back that they
won’t soon forget. But be aware, Tucker…”
She taps her
right leg and a confident gaze forms across her lovely features.
“…this foot is made for kicking. I kicked Winchester’s head off his shoulders
and if you’re not careful, you’ll suffer the same fate, boy. I’m fired up and ready to go. I’m ready to prove my doubters and critics
wrong…”
She points
at the camera.
“…doubters and critics that I suspect
include you and your boy Craig and your friend Stacy. I admit, I’ve earned the doubt and the
critique. I’ve earned every bit of
it. But I’m prepared to earn the trust
of the SCW locker room back, I’m prepared to earn the trust of the SCW fans
back, and Tucker, if that means going toe to toe with you, having one hell of a
match with you, and if that means kicking your teeth right down your throat…”
She
snickers.
“…then by God I’ll just kick your teeth
right down your throat. And I promise
you one other thing, Tucker, I promise you that win or lose, I will shake your
hand when all is said and done.”
She shakes
her head.
“This isn’t a game! This isn’t a joke! This is very real because it has to do with
the very fate of tag team wrestling. Are
we going to sit back and let children define this sport for the next
generation? Tyler Tucker and Kayla Jones
can help usher in a new age of competition and sportsmanship into tag team wrestling. We can define this sport with our own brand
of high energy high impact athleticism.”
She points
at the camera again.
“But it all depends on you, Tucker. It all depends on you and what you decide to
bring to the table on Breakdown. I can
guarantee you that I will bring my very best to the table on Breakdown. You will get the absolute best of Kayla Jones
and you had better expect it if you know what’s good for you. I’m deadly serious, Tyler. I am not holding back and I am not
underestimating you. Not this time. Never again.
And you had better come prepared for me, because I am going to unleash
hell, Tucker.”
Kayla gazes
intensely into the camera.
“We may be changed. We may be different people in terms of our
personality and our attitude but at the end of the day we’re still the same
competitors who want oh so badly to become SCW World Tag Team Champions and
you, Tyler, you and Craig are still obstacles in our path. You are still my opponent and I am going to
do to you what I do to all of my opponents.
I am going to defeat you. I am
going to kick you in the jaw and then I will pin you. And I will end you.”
